Junk Journals

What are Junk Journals?

A Junk journal is a handmade book or upcycled book, made up of unwanted items such as photos from magazines, travel brochures, wrapping paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, postcards, doilies, to name a few. The book covers can be made from cereal boxes, old book covers or even old Amazon boxes. Paints and stencils can then be overlaid ontop to give a lively mixed media / collage effect.
